We Objectify Ourselves!!

I’ve heard, and used to think that Men objectify Women, but the truth is that Women objectify themselves. I turned on the T.V and saw (what I’m guessing was) Rihanna in concert. She was singing(duh) her hit songs. When she did dance she would do nothing but shake her butt, and the crowd would go wild. You see, Women have accepted being measured by how good we are at arousing ungodly feelings in Men (the world calls this being sexy). So Men have no other option but to view us as nothing more than sex objects. When I think about what some Women have lowered themselves to become, I almost feel ashamed to be a Women. But I won’t let the World steal away the blessing of being a Woman. I pray for the females in or generation…….

Thats so true…. I was watching this new show “Americas est dance crew” and there was a group of girls that called themselves feme 5….. they wore like Brittney spears style outfits (short skirts and low cut shirts) and they danced pretty much like hookers. When the judges spoke, one said that they were trying to sell the sex too munch and to focus on other stuff than sex (it was a guy). The female judges response to that was “something besides sex??” I thought that was a perfect example of what you girls were talking about.

That’s why I’m beginning to think that it’s gone past people trying to be sexy into trying to be mainstream. I think a lot of girls and women are clueless to the fact that there’s something better. They see the power and attention that clothing can get and they want it. They like the looks, for it feeds their need for approval. And they have to continue to show more to keep that attention.
Hence why Britney has to come out in basically her underwear on MTV to try to get people to consider her popular again. Or why the girl that wants to be a movie star must do a nude photo spread. You don’t see the guys doing this, and yet the girl has to do it because that’s what she thinks she has to do.
It really is very sad.
